Mental Performance Coaching
Coaching Services
Your mental game is a skill set—and like any skill, it can be developed through intentional practice.
My approach to mental performance coaching is grounded in my background as a licensed marriage and family therapist, former Division I athlete and coach, and graduate training in sport and performance psychology. I combine evidence-based mental performance strategies with a whole-person approach that recognizes that athletes are more than their sport.
I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Sport Psychology, with anticipated completion in Spring 2027. Following graduation, I plan to pursue the Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC) credential through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). The CMPC is the sole NCCA-accredited certification for mental performance in North America and requires graduate-level education, specialized coursework, mentored applied experience, a rigorous certification examination, and ongoing professional development.
As I complete this next stage of my professional training, I am intentionally offering mental performance coaching at an introductory rate. This allows athletes to access individualized, high-quality mental performance support while I continue to expand my specialized training and experience in the field.
Coaching Designed Around You
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental performance.
Together, we will identify the areas that matter most to you and develop practical skills you can use in practice, competition, and everyday life. Depending on your goals, our work may focus on:
Confidence and self-belief
Performance anxiety and managing pressure
Focus and concentration
Pre-performance routines
Motivation and goal setting
Self-talk
Imagery and visualization
Responding to mistakes and setbacks
Resilience and emotional regulation
Not Sure Where to Start?
You don't need to know exactly what you need before we begin.
If you are looking for a comprehensive introduction to mental performance skills, I have created the Woods Performance Psychology Foundational Program—a structured program designed to help athletes build the core mental skills that support confidence, focus, resilience, and performance.
If you have a specific challenge or performance goal, individualized coaching allows us to focus directly on what you need.
The goal isn't to become a different athlete. It's to become a more confident, prepared, and mentally skilled version of the athlete you already are.
